The celebration of the bicentenary of the birth of Gabriel de Mortillet (Meylan, 29 August 1821- Saint-Germain-en-Laye, 1898) is an opportunity for the Musée d'Archéologie nationale - Domaine national de Saint-Germain-en-Laye to honour one of the museum's first curators (1868-1885) and a committed citizen of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, to shed light on his founding work on the classification and chronology of archaeological evidence, and finally, to appreciate his dedication to the museum's management.
In accordance with current health regulations, access to the conference is subject to the control of a health pass / green pass and the wearing of a mask remains obligatory during the conference and in all enclosed areas. The international colloquium will take place in person as planned, registration is free but compulsory and can be done via the colloquium website
